| Should "Star Wars" continue with two TV series? As a 1977 Generation Star Wars fan, I have ambivalent feelings toward the two upcoming TV series created by George Lucas to tell further stories set "a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away."
The one I know the most about is a computer-animated one titled Clone Wars, which features CGI versions of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and most of the important prequel characters in the time period between Episodes II and III. Anakin will have a Padawan since he is now a full Jedi Knight, and supposedly it'll be action oriented.
The other series I know less about, but it's live action and doesn't feature the major characters. It's set between Episode III and Episode IV, (again) supposedly.
Now, I'm going to watch at least one of them, but I wonder...should it be done at all? I thought Lucas was happy with the six movies and told his story the way he wanted to....and the last time he took a Lucasfilm franchise (Indiana Jones) to TV, it didn't flop but it wasn't a big hit, either.
Anyone else have an opinion?
