TV show you NEVER want to see turned into a theatrical movie?

As we all know, Hollywood is known for adapting everything it can get its hands on into movies. Stage plays, novels, non-fiction books, even the Bible have all been raided for all sorts of films. Some are excellent, some are not so good, and many are just plain awful.

TV, which ended the movies' role as the main form of mass entertainment in the 1950s, also has been a source of inspiration for filmmakers. TV series such as Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, Bewitched, The Flintstones, and even The Simpsons have all made the jump from the small screen to the silver one, again with mixed success and varying degrees of quality.

Here is a list of TV shows I never want to see adapted for movies...ever.

I Dream of Jeannie

Hogan's Heroes

Gilligan's Island

The Hills

My Name is Earl

Lost

Desperate Housewives

Law & Order

CSI

Cool

The last thing I want to see is friends being made into a theatrical release. The Same goes for Rome and desperate housewives.I wonder what made the producers of Sex and the City make the soap into a movie.

Oh dear. I can just see the tagline for Friends: The Movie.

"The One that Went to the Big Screen"

As to why SATC was made into a movie? Pressure from the show's fans, for one thing. Plus, the adaptations from small screen to TV that have worked (Star Trek, The Fugitive, Mission: Impossible) have earned their studios hundreds of millions!

Ugh, it seems to me like every show is eventually going to be turned into a movie. I could barely sit through the "Beverly Hillbillies" movie. I haven't watched some of the newer sitcoms in a while since I have become addicted to reality shows , but I can definitely think of a few that were already made into a movie that should have not have been:

Dukes of Hazzard : UGH

The Flinstones: Now this one takes the cake. I couldn't watch it in its entirety, although John Goodman really was a good choice for the role as Fred.

Let's hope that some producer out there doesn't get the idea to call Charlie Sheen and pitch a "Two and a Half Men: The Movie" project. The show is cute if watched occasionally, but it's mot my cup of tea movie theater or DVD wise.

I would hate to see Heroes or Dr.Who made into a movie. I know there was an original Dr.Who movie, but it would be a bad move to move it back to the movies.
