Hmm, not really following what your question is, but I will try answer it as best I can with the only "Idol" I watch which is "American Idol". Many of the contestants go on to make hit albums, and they don't necessarily have to be the winner. Clay Aiken and Chris Daughtry are good examples. American Idol season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson has went multi platinum with her music. Of course there are more that seep through the cracks than their are hit makers, but it's worth it.
