In a surprise upset, David Cook has been crowned the American Idol. This was the outcome that I am hoping for

This kind of final result was expected,it is the latest trend now, the results of these shows and the much hyped games turn out to be shocking to the viewers.

I am glad Cook won. At least for once, American democracy works Let us hope that it will work well in the coming presidential election

Yeah I don't know how I feel about this... I kinda wanted Archuleta just because he was so sweet But Cook does have the voice. I'm sure they will both go far far far in their career.

I wanted Archuleta to win too, he just seems like he's a bit more humble and sweet. David Cook just seems so smug and arrogant.

I had to agree that Cook can be rather arrogant and annoying but I think at least he is showing his true colors and not faking it. For Archuleta, he is a real phony and I think his humility is contrived and fake.

But with the amount of margin of votes is too much, it is something like 12 million more than fellow finalist,David Archuleta.So D A stood no chance.

Yeah, it was almost a landslide surprisingly. I don't think David A. is fake though. Geez, he is only what 17? Give the kid a break. I hope he does well in the future.
