Fawcett’s friends prepare to say goodbye

The weekend is expected to be a somber one for friends of Farrah Fawcett. Her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal told People magazine that Fawcett “stays in bed now,” and her treatment “has pretty much ended.”

According to a friend of Fawcett’s, O’Neal’s interview also is a cue that it was acceptable to begin preparing for the inevitable.

“When Ryan spoke out like that, it was like a sign that it was OK for the goodbyes to begin,” said the friend. “We’ve all wanted to remain positive for as long as possible.” According to the friend, Fawcett isn’t totally aware of how much the public cares about her. “She knows there’s tremendous support, but really right now is about being with her family and close friends.”

Sarah Parker’s surrogate is a bisexual

The surrogate mother carrying Sarah Jessica Parker’s twin girls has been revealed to be a bisexual woman with a troubled past.

The woman chosen by Sarah Jessica Parker is Michelle Ross, a 26-year-old who has previously carried a child for a gay couple.
Ross who has a young child from a previous marriage is reportedly due to give birth in July to the ‘Sex and the City’ star’s twin daughters, reported Daily Mail online.

The 44-year-old actress had turned to a surrogate after many failed attempts to conceive with actor husband Matthew Broderick.
But the actress has come under fire for her choice of surrogate, as Ross has a checkered history.

The self confessed ‘bisexual’ is completely cut off from her young son who is being taken care of by her ex-husband, Joseph Erker.
“Michelle has kids for other people, but she hardly ever sees her own son,” Erker told Star magazine.

Ross will be paid an undisclosed amount to give birth to the children of the celebrity couple.

Megan Fox prefers men over 30

Model-actress Megan Fox says she is not interested in actors like Zac Efron because having a relationship with men under 30 is a “waste of time”.

Men around the age of the ” High School Musical ” star have “nothing to offer conversationally, (since) they are immature”, thesun.co.uk quoted the 23-year-old as saying.

“They are just too pretty with the big hair and the suits,” she said. Zac Efron is 21.

The ” Transformers ” star, who is in an on-off relationship with 35-year-old TV star Brian Austin Green, added: “I feel I have a better shot with someone in his thirties.”

Kylie Minogue announces first US tour

Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue has announced her first US tour with stops at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom and Los Angeles’ famed Hollywood Bowl.

The superstar has lined up six dates for autumn 2009, which will start with a show in Oakland, California, at the end of September 2009, reports contactmusic.com.

“I’ve wanted to tour in America and Canada for years and know that fans have been waiting a long time for this. I’m thrilled that the opportunity has finally arrived,” she said.

Minogue’s recent ” KyleX2008 ” tour visited 21 countries and raked in an estimated $70 million in ticket sales.

Christian Bale refused to watch news

“The Dark Knight” star Christian Bale has confessed he refused to watch news after his co-star from the blockbuster hit Heath Ledger died, fearing gossipy coverage would tarnish his memories of his friend.

Contactmusic.com reports, Bale was left stunned after Ledger, who played the villainous Joker to his Batman in the 2008 superhit, died from an accidental prescription drug overdose in January 2008.

He chose to block out all reports about his friend’s tragic passing because he didn’t want to hear uninformed outsiders speculate about Ledger’s death.

“I paid no attention to it. I knew him, I knew the family and why the hell would I sit there listening to idiots who don’t know anything at all? I literally didn’t read anything, didn’t watch anything (after he died),” he said.

“If I happened to be watching anything that came on, I switched over straight away. It’s incredible the way the voyeuristic outlook is accepted as news,” he added.

Jennifer Aniston reconciles with mother

Former “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston has ended her decade-long estrangement with her mother, insisting any strain between the two “is all over”.

Jennifer, 40, stopped speaking to her mother Nancy Dow after the publication of Dow’s book ” From Mother And Daughter To Friends: A Memoir ” in 1999, as she was angry about revelations Dow made in the book, reports contactmusic.com.

The ” Marley and Me ” actress now insists that the feud is over.

“It’s good. It’s ok. Things are now fine between us. All of that is over, and we’re in touch with one another. Today mom has moved from California and she’s living in Colorado, and we speak, and it’s all over,” she said.
