A Morbid Question

What songs do you think are for suitable for funerals?

Two songs come to my mind.

Angela by Robbie Williams
My Way by Frank Sinatra

Amazing Grace is a good one, and then also Bridge Over Troubled Water. My Way is an excellent choice as well.

My Way will be my choice...hmmmm but i will depend on the person who just died...i mean i prefer to dedicate a song on his/her funeral that suites him/her best...

That is an excellent point. For example, if you knew they had a favorite song, even though it's not exactly a song for a funeral per say, that would something that he/she would probably really appreciate.

I love the song my way, but I also think that the song should represent the person who had just passed away...It should me respectful and dignified.

I like leighdhu's suggestions, especially Bridge Over Troubled Water. Abide with Me is a nice one too.

I look at it differently for my own funeral though. I want a song that goes with my sense of humor at mine. I'd rather make people laugh and think of me fondly the way I was than cry. Current favorite is Ring of Fire for a cremation.

Well I am not thinking about this issue at present because such issues some times perturb me and at present I am too occupied with the celebrations going on in my family.
