Yep, you are right and this is one of the main reasons I never listen to commercial radio anymore. Not only do they play a lot of awful music, but they play it over and over and over.

I agree with you people but some music are good and rest all are rubbish.

To be honest, with the rare exception of Fresh Prince (Will Smith), I've never liked hip-hop or rap. I don't really get anything out of the genre, and as Leighdu says, 21st Century hip hop tends to me a parody of its old self, with one dominant beat and the same bling-sex-gangsta themes repeating themselves.

I don't hate it. I just don't "get" it, since it doesn't reflect my cultural heritage or my musical tastes. Maybe it's cultural myopia or close-mindedness on my part, but I just don't enjoy it, and I can't listen to stuff if I don't enjoy it.

Like I said, I used to like it...before it turned so commercial. In the early 90's it seemed so much different than today's hip hop/rap. And that song "Lollipop" someone had mentioned seems to blaring out of everyones car. I don't see what the big deal is about Lil' Wayne. He sounds so whiny to me.

It really wouldn't bother me so much if I never had to listen to it every day for at least 5 hours, thats every day. It drives me insane Its goten to the point where if someone plays it loud on the bus, I tell them to shut it off. 10 times out of 10 they do as they are told. Thats how much I hate it and why.
