...a pass from someone from your own gender?

While I'm not familiar with non-Western cultures which are famous - or infamous - for their anti-gay stances, particularly in their religions, I'm sure most people here have either known someone or have themselves been hit on by someone of their own sex/gender.

I know I have, more when I was younger than now but it's happened, and my reaction has varied from "Eww gross! I could never..." to "Hey, at least someone finds me attractive even though same sex experiences are not my particular cup of tea." Sometimes it is still off-putting, and sometimes it's a bit flattering.

Has this ever happened to you? How do you react? It doesn't matter if you're a male or female, but do you get angry and want to react violently? Do you get scared? Do you take it as a compliment? Does the other person's attractiveness have anything to do with your reaction?

Never happened to me, and if it did, I'd probably have no idea. I am clueless about such things. I see guys point out a man in the crowd and comment, "He's gay," - and in most cases I can stare all I want and I just don't see what on earth makes this person stand out as gay.

I did have a couple of girls hitting on me once. I am a girl and it felt WEIRD. I didn't react and just decided to laugh and forget about it.
