Is it fair to call women weaker sex?

In the present system rather during earlier periods also woman had been brave at all fronts, then why are they labeled weaker sex?

Personally I don’t call woman as the weaker sex but rather as equals because they can do almost anything that man can do these days. I think that this old concept is gone now.

It never used to be said in a way to diminish women, rather to protect them from heavier work. I know that I can't lift as much as my husband can, so I don't mind admitting that I am physically weaker.

If you have seen those women bodybuilders though, they probably wouldn't like to be called weaker sex!

Depends. There is no yes or no. In some cases, yes, in some cases no, in other cases it depends on the individual. Emotionaly, women do tend to be weaker, just watch the X factor, women cry 80% of the time when they get a no, and cheryl is just a joke, if someone walks in and says, "oh my.....mum (or what ever) died yesterday" she breaks down in tears. In terms of, phsysical, not really, it depends on the person. There hasnt been as many history making women as there are men, but that doesnt mean they are not as important. So, weaker? I wouldnt say that. Having said that, my old GF would hit me for a joke, just playing round and wanted me to hit her back, but I could never hit a woman.

Honestly, I've seen guys go weak and totally crazy for women. In a way, I think women are much stronger than men can ever even aspire to be.

some women may be emotionally weak. but i don't generalize them. and i think that women should not be called as weaker sex because men and women have similarities. not all men are strong and not all women are weak.

They are called weak as they are more emotional and physically weak as well. I don't think we need to debate on the issue. Its simple, yes they are weaker sex.

I think it is not really fair for us women to be called the weaker sex. We should be called the strongest sex because for nine months we carry the baby in our womb and then we deliver the baby with the assistance of the doctor. Most of the household chores are done, be it a working mother or a housewife for that matter. Are we still the weaker sex?

Yes carrying a baby is the toughest of task, though we women take the responsibility with all smiles. At home front also each and every thing has to be taken care of. Above all if one is doing a job also then life is an acid test. You are not spared for a small thing.
