Tween starlet Demi Lovato has made a mark with the kids of these days and she has turned out to be a great hit even with the cynics. The singer though duly admitted on the “Ellen Degeneres” show that she was so unpopular in the seventh grade that she had to leave school.
She remarked that though she is a hot thing with kids now, there was a time she was not even considered for school auditions and was constantly bullied around by colleagues who hated liking her at all.
“I think people think if you’re pretty, if you’re popular, you can take it,” Ellen told her, “But everyone has their feelings hurt and it doesn’t matter.” She suggested with the quote that it was always difficult no matter what heights one reach. Such pains are not erased quickly as they are imprinted at an impressionable age.
She said that perhaps she created the tough times for herself by adhering to a lifestyle far off the “ collective”; it could have been her hair color or any other thing but it created quite a furor.
Demi is busy campaigning against bullying irrespective of gender and said that she wanted to be a role model for girls who felt themselves in the line of harrassment fire.
