Former Saturday Night Live (SNL) star Tina Fey returned to the show last Saturday in order to play VP candidate Sarah Palin. Fey appeared on the SNL stage with friend and SNL co-star Amy Poehler who played the part of Sen. Hillary Clinton.
The parody touched on issues like sexism of which Poehler’s Clinton had this to say:
"An issue which I am frankly surprised to hear people suddenly care about," The comment was in reference to the fact that Sen. Clinton rarely brought it up during her presidential campaign.
Fey and Poehler also discussed foreign policies of which Fey’s Palin responded.
“I can see Russia from my house” she also said that Global Warming is just
“God Hugging us Closer”.
Presidential hopeful Barack Obama was supposed to make a guest appearance on last Saturday’s SNL but chose not to go because he had to focus on helping those affected by of Hurricane Ike’s devastation on Texas.
