Reality TV star, pop singer and now budding country singer Jessica Simpson has revealed that she was a victim of abuse.

Simpson said that a song on her new album, "Do You Know," is based on her own experience of abuse.

The 28-year-old, however, did not reveal the details of the alleged abuse.

'I have definitely experienced abuse in a way that I would tell people to take their heart and run,' she said.

‘So many people want to bring me down, and I can’t wait to prove them wrong,’ she added.

‘If [people] believe what they read about me, they automatically persecute and torment me.’

Currently, the ex-wife of pop singer Nick Lachey is dating football star Tony Romo.

I wonder what kind of abuse she endured? I've never been a big fan of her music, but I will admit this girl can really sing. I hope she continues to be successful.

Of course it could all just be a ploy to get more attention that backfired.

So now we know that she has a song titled "Do you know". I am pretty sure it is just a gimmick for grabbing on some media attention. The "stars" can be so insensitive some times.
