NEW YORK, NY -- Britney Spears got the thumbs up from former duet partner Madonna earlier today.

In an interview on New York's Z100, Madonna told host JJ that she is a fan of the pop princess's latest album, "Blackout."

"I actually love Britney Spears' new album. I listen to that a lot," Madonna said.

In fact, she does more than just listen to the record, which has spawned hits "Gimme More," "Piece Of Me," and "Break The Ice."

"I usually work out to her record," Madonna said. "I do a combination of Pilates and dance aerobics."

Madonna also got candid about Britney's ex, Justin Timberlake, who contributed to her April 29 due album, "Hard Candy."

Earlier this month it was revealed that Madonna had given Justin a Vitamin B shot and it wasn't so she could see his bottom, as JJ suggested.

"I mean, I've seen enough butt so that's OK," she sighed. "The reason I gave him a B12 shot is cause we only had a certain amount of days in the studio and I didn't want him using that as a lame a** excuse not to come to work, OK? It's got nothing to do with butt, I promise you. Listen, I don't need to give him a shot to see his butt."

While DJs like JJ and fellow stars like Justin are happy to do whatever the lady asks, Madonna herself is not open to requests. She told the DJ she has no plans to sing some of her classic songs ever again.

"I'm not sure I can sing 'Holiday' or 'Like A Virgin' ever again. I just can't," she said. "Unless somebody paid me like, like $30 million or something."

Madonna plans to start "Hard Candy" on the road with some promo shows in April and May.

"Then I'm thinking about and looking forward to doing a bigger tour at the end of the summer, beginning of the fall," Madonna said, "But it's not 100 percent confirmed yet."

That’s hot. B12 is a good way to rock the house and have great energy. I don’t blame her she needed to get that stuff done and she needed her boys to come with it. LOL.

Madonna wants the media to leave Britney Spears alone.

"They need to step off," she told the "Yo on E!" satellite radio show. "For real ... Let's go save her."

I'm pretty much getting sick of the media hounding Britney too. I mean I am not a fan, was never a fan, and don't think she's talented, but I feel bad for her. She can't even sneeze without the tabloids saying she was sneezing from snorting drugs.

Me not being neither a Madonna fan nor a Britney fan, I'll still weigh in on this.

On Madonna's not wanting to sing her "old songs," she has the same attitude that Billy Joel has about "Just the Way You Are." He's proud of that song, likes it, and is glad that so many people still listen to it, but he doesn't want to be 70 years old and still singing it at concerts.

As for Britney and the media, I think Madonna is right. Maybe if ordinary people banded together and boycotted every TV show or celebrity magazine that covers the self-destruction of that sad pop tart until the "media" got the message, this will happen.

I'm an gret fan of aBritney and I support her and I love the body language of Maddona she has good body shape.

I think they should have left her alone a long time ago. She is a train wreck and is not getting any better with all of this fuss around her.

As for Madonna though, I could not care any less what that woman has to say about anything and it would be a pleasure if I never have my ears tortured again with any of her old songs. Sorry if this offends any Madonna fans, but she has more lawsuits than any other musician for stealing lyrics, music, and styles from others. She's completely fake, and the only she is good at is the business side of music.

i think madonna is right on saving britney...its not too late for her to come back...at least when she come back it will have some positive news for her and not just those negative stuff...just let her start over again...

I have never seen a Madonna show, but if I ever decided to do so, (which I highly doubt I ever will), I would feel ripped off if she didn't sing "Like A Virgin!"
