$175 burger

As determined by Pocket Change (an online newsletter about the most expensive things in NYC), the Wall Street Burger Shoppe has the costliest harmburger at $175.

Care for a tiny bite?

I have no idea guess it is just a burger - I don't expect to find a tiny cow inside. Consumers are really being taken for a ride and they love it.

I doubt it would make much of a dent in the pockets of the Wall Street bankers. I'd bet though it's made of some pretentious sounding ingredients. Some people have more money than sense.

Ha! More money than sense is right !! For some of those bankers, a hundred dollar burger is like a .25 candy for the rest of us.

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard of. Even if you got the costliest cut of beef yourself and ground it into a patty, it still would cost you that much. Maybe it's covered in caviar? Anyway, like the commerical says, for the person who has everything...get him/her a gift certificate for one of these burgers.

For that price, the beef better come from Kobe beef. I think that's the only cow that can command that type of price for a hamburger.

If the burger is $175 I wonder what the fries cost? Then what about the soda? Meal should end up totaling about $250, for one person. What if you take the whole family?!?

Are you serious? I mean I can ask my mom to make a burger for me, or goto McDonald and have one and save the rest of money. 175$ are something man. Even my stomach might not digest it :P

I overheard a home economics teacher yesterday say that hamburger can be made from up to 200 different cattle. I'm not sure why that made me sick, but it made me think about getting a meat grinder so I can grind my own hamburger and know what cut of meat it's coming from.

I think they charge these prices because they can and do get away with it. Even a kobe beef burger (which is exactly what this burger is) is not worth $175. Here is a link that tells about the pricey burger. I will admit is does look and sound appetizing, but not enough to make me ever pay that price:

The $175 burger is a haute handful for rarefied tastes

Rusty is on a distinguished road
Someone's making money, all right. I agree that this is ridiculous, but if no one was buying these burgers, they wouldn't be there. So yes, obviously they've got customers to whom $100 equals a quarter.

Hamburger for $ 175! Ah that's damn damn costly. But then its on wall street. BTW did anyone check the rates after the recent meltdown

Tiny Bite? Sure, is Gossipcheck.com sponsoring it?

Wow. That's crazy expensive for a burger! Just go to MocDonalds and get a big mac! Boom, you're DONE!

Although, seeing they offer thousand-dollar caviar omlettes... maybe that burger doesn't sound too pricey.
