Drinking too much water?

The latest studies claim that our body does not need much water at all, unless we are living in a climatically hot country. The need of our body is met by the water contained in the foods we take and in the liquids. On the contrary it is said that too much of water will lead to serious health problems.

Yes you can die from water intoxication. And it does nothing for the skin. I almost never drink water.

Are you challenging me? *Joke*
Its been proven that water doesnt help the skin. Too much of anything can harm you, or even kill you.

You are right, there definitely is a risk of water intoxication. However, our bodies are made up of 70% water, so it would take an awful lot of water to get that level. Our kidneys can process 15 liters a day, which is about 60 glasses of water a day...I don't personally drink even close to HALF that per day.

All these studies are so confusing - they always come to different conclusions and you agree with all of them. Sometimes I wish I am brave enough to ignore everything I read.

All I know is that I do not drink anything even remotely close to get water intoxication, and it is extremely rare. But water does give me energy and keeps my complexion clear and makes me feel better. So on that alone I will continue to drink it.

Just use common sense and drink water moderately; all "good" things should be taken in moderation - too much of a good thing is also bad!

Drinking lot of water doesn't hassle me at all I feel completly cool and comfortable. One thing I make sure is that I don't gallop gallons at one go,I make it sure that I give a gap between the glasses.

People that have a tendency to chew on ice or drink large amounts of ice water might have low iron levels in your body. You can remedy that by simply cooking in a large cast iron skillet or add some basic vitamins to your system.

Re: Drinking too much water?

Well, don't doctors say that a lot of is actually good for us? But as they say, everything in excess is bad. So try to lessen the water obsession.

Lets put it this way. I never drink water as it is, and I'm absolutely fine. You get most of your body's Liquid needs through other things you drink.
