Obesity

According to the International Obesity Taskforce, the top 5 most obese countries are:

Nauru
Tonga
Samoa
Jordan
Nieue

I always thought USA is the fattest country.

I think we are the fattest western world country. And here in the US everything is thin this thin that thin this thin that...but at the other countries, you are beautiful if you are heavy. It goes along with their cultures.

But being thin is in thing all around.People in my country too are squeezing themselves.I fail to understand whats wrong in being moderate sized.I strongly support the theory that big is beautiful.

I would think that USA is the top country for obesity and UK is not far behind that but I agree there is too much in the world of being skinny and fitting into a size 4!

I think that people are too obsessed with being thin, but on the other hand I think that the obesity problem in the US is just ridiculous. With everything so convenient these days, people don't take the time to get fit. It is just asking for all kinds of health problems.

Again moderation is good here not too fat and not too thin. One thing about fat people is they cannot fly economy class

Ha..this comment reminds me of when I was 14 and flying into Dallas. There was a bodyguard of a famous boy band at the time (yep, they were on the plane too) and for some reason him and a few of the guys were stuck in economy. The big guy happened to sit right by me. He had to have "three" seat belt extensions before he could buckle his seat belt in. I would put at about 380 pounds.

There was a not quite recent case when a fat woman was forced to pay for 2 seats in order to fly. Fat is really inconvenient

Over sized people should not opt for economy class keeping their size in mind,it is too embarrassing for the person accompanying such a fellow.

We are really going into the slippery road of "size" discrimnination! Sometimes it is really sad seeing these people struggling with their daily routines
