Water and Weight

Does your weight affect how much water you should be consuming each day? If so how do you determine how much water you should be consuming each day?

I've heard stories on both sides on the scale. On one hand , it is said you should drink a certain amount according to your weight, then supposedly studies proved that that was just nonsense. I personally drink almost a gallon per day, not because I want to lose weight, but because when I do I have more energy, I feel better, and my complexion stays clear.

I have heard the same, it seems like water is great for you either way. If you lose water weight then it is not really the same type of weight as that of fat.

Yep, you are right Sophie. Water weight is the easiest to lose, but you aren't really losing fat. However, drinking water and lots of it does help you to lose fat. It makes you feel fuller so you don't want to eat as much, and it also gives you more energy.

I've always heard that drinking a lot of water will help someone lose weight. Ice water helps stimulate your body because to digest the water your body has to use a lot of calories in order to heat the water up so your body can consume it.

It is rightly put water makes you feel fuller and you eat less.Cold water theory is also very relevant.It surely burns up your calories a bit more.
