| How are you coping with all the bad news these days? Let's face it, folks. For many people around the world, 2008 has not been a very good year. In the country once known as Burma, a typhoon hit and killed hundreds of thousands of people and the military rulers didn't allow much of the foreign aid into the country, thinking they'd be invaded by outsiders. In Iraq, the war is calming down a bit but people still get killed there by bombs and insurgents. In most places, food prices are going up for various reasons, especially the high cost of oil. In the U.S., vast areas of the Midwest are flooding because of heavy rains that are making rivers overflow their banks.....
I'm getting to the point in which I can't really read the paper or watch the TV news, which I once did because I felt it was important to. I get bummed out easily and feel a sense of dread on a daily basis. In short, I'm not coping too well with all the bad news.
How about it? Anyone else having a hard time with all the doom and gloom. If not, how do you cope with it?
