Robert Pattinson takes lessons from Pierce Brosnan

Robert Pattinson has had a few pointers to take home about dealing with stardom, thanks to fellow actor Pierce Brosnan.

The Twilight star, who plays the role of Edward Cullen in the hit vampire franchise, said he picked up one brief lesson in handling fame when he went out to dinner with his Remember Me co-star Brosnan in New York.

“Some people were looking over. He went up to them and introduced himself and asked how their evening was going,” Pattinson as said.

“At the time I was thinking, ”What are you doing?” but it worked fantastically and I”m sure those people went home and said what a really nice guy he was.

“I don”t really have the confidence to do that yet, but it works better than my method, which is just hiding under the table,” he added.

Cowell approaches Pattinson with record deal

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has been approached by music moghul Simon Cowell to sign a major record deal.

The young actor has even been told he can basically write his own cheque.

Other record companies have got wind of the offer and a bidding war has broken out.

Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the “Twilight” films, is a keen musician who plays piano and guitar and has even contributed songs to the movie’ soundtracks.

Being appreciated also for his singing, record bosses reckon his voice could turn out to be a big money-spinner.

“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star and takes his music very seriously. He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with ‘The X Factor’ and pop,” said a source.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart: Are they or aren’t they?

The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a hit, but fans seem to be almost as obsessed with news about whether stars Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen), 23, and Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), 19, are a couple in real life.

USA TODAY charts the signs for readers to decide.

ROMANCE?

December 2008:  “It was purely just connection,” Stewart tells Teen magazine about working with Pattinson.

May: Stewart and Pattinson were spotted together at the Sam Bradley Band show in Vancouver. When the show was over, the couple left through a back door and headed to the Opus Hotel. Also, after the MTV Movie Awards on May 31, the two were spotted getting cozy.

August: Back in Vancouver to film Eclipse, the third installment of the series, they are photographed again getting cozy at a Kings of Leon concert.

September: They are spotted getting close and having drinks at their friend Bobby Long’s concert in Vancouver. They also are photographed shopping at a vintage clothing store together.

November: Pattinson tells Harper’s Bazaar: “You really don’t meet many people like Kristen.” And then on Nov. 10, photographers at an airport in Paris captured images of the couple holding hands as they boarded a plane.

MAYBE, MAYBE NOT

A non-answer: In an interview with Entertainment Weekly that appeared a few weeks ago, Stewart tells the magazine: “There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation: ‘OK, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.’ ”

Recent sightings: The couple arrived separately at the Nov. 16 premiere of New Moon in Los Angeles and a special screening a few days later in New York. They do not pose for photos together. (Flashback to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the promotional appearances for 2005’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Pitt, then married to Jennifer Aniston, and Jolie kept their distance at the premiere.)

Humorous take: He approaches the romance questions less seriously and laughs as he confirms all possible rumors during an appearance on NBC’s Today on Thursday. “You’ve been dating non-stop?” Matt Lauer asks. “Literally non-stop, yes,” Pattinson replies. “You’re dating a co-star whose name rhymes with Tristan Blewart?” Lauer asks. Pattinson answers: “There was a Liston Hewitt last year. That would be true, yes.”

NO CHANCE

November 2008: Pattinson tells TV talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres he’s used to screaming fans. “No one else seems to get into a relationship with me,” he declares.

February: Stewart tells Nylon magazine that she has been dating beau Michael Angarano since 2006. “If (Pattinson and I) go out in public, every little detail is scrutinized, like the way I stand next to him,” she says. “It’s only natural that we’re sort of leaning on each other, because we’re put in the most … psychotic situations.”

June:  Pattinson is spotted out clubbing with various companions, including pal Camilla Belle and Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin.

August: Pattinson tells Britain’s Daily Mirror: “I don’t have a girlfriend! I don’t know why.”

October: Pattinson tells Vanity Fair he and Stewart are not romantically involved. “I’ve literally been across the country (from Kristen), and it’s like ‘Oh, they were on secret dates!’ It’s like ‘Where? I can’t get out of my hotel room!’ “

Robert Pattinson to quit acting?

Robert Pattinson is seriously thinking of quitting acting after Twilight series because he does not want to do “lame work”.

The 23-year-old Pattinson, who has won quite an audience with his role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise, is unsure of his future as an actor. Contactmusic quoted him as telling Seventeen magazine: “I don”t even know if I want to be an actor that long. “I don”t even know how to be someone else… if I start doing lame work, I”m not going to stick around and do it!”

Robert Pattinson not afraid of attention

Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson was recently hit by a taxi cab while trying to escape a hoard of fans, but the British actor claims that he is not afraid of the attention.

The 23-year-old actor who was named the ‘Sexiest Man on the Planet’ by Heat magazine said that he was not afraid of the new tag or the increased adulation .

“I’m not really afraid of it though because I don’t really know how to play up that aspect of it. I don’t know if I could ever really be cast in a heartthrob role really — apart from Twilight, which I didn’t really know was a heartthrob role. I really don’t feel I am one,” he told.

The actor who shot to fame playing lovelorn vampire Edward Cullen in the superhit ‘ Twilight ‘, beat Hollywood A-list actors including Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Zac Efron in the poll.
