I don't think that's it for
every man who doesn't show any interest in cooking, though. I think it's more of the way they are raised or treated by their spouses. In many Latino families, for instance, you hardly ever see the man of the house cook (unless it's a BBQ); it's always the mother/wife who cooks the meals.
As for other men, maybe they think it's a "gay" or effeminate activity. (Unless, of course, it's BBQ.)
Or they are just plain lazy and don't want to cook.
