
“Prince of Persia” has been around for years now, aging back to the days of good ole’ Super Nintendo. Back then, it was one hell of a game and each subsequent version continued the trend in gaming excellence. Given the broad and intense appeal of the games, it was only a matter of time before somebody tried to make a movie out of it. Even my little brother, a huge fan of the series, vowed several years back that his ambition was to make this game into a film at some point in the future.
Unfortunately for him, Jerry Bruckheimer & Co. beat him to the punch and “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” just released on May 28th (Ironically, that happens to be my little brother’s birthday.) And after just finishing this film, I have to join my little brother in his disappointment – the film-makers made nearly all the wrong moves possible. They Disneyfied it.
